Rachel Wilburn, Counseling Intern

Rachel is dedicated to embodying and applying the counseling profession’s core values of fostering learning and growth, providing culturally responsive care, and ensuring client confidentiality and safety, all while practicing industry-specific competencies and standards. She believes each client is unique and she therefore addresses each client relationship and goals differently, tailoring quality care and attention to each client’s specific needs and objectives for counseling.

 

With respect to specific philosophies and modalities, she aims to utilize an integrative, eclectic approach with a strong foundation in psychodynamic theory and interventions. Rachel provides a safe space where clients can feel supported as they explore and process thoughts and emotions while developing awareness and capabilities to elevate their overall well-being, strengths, and agency.

 

Overall, she is passionate about helping her clients flourish and is committed to empowering individuals to build and implement pertinent knowledge and skills to improve their lives and experiences. As a counselor-in-training, Rachel is currently permitted to serve adult populations in Illinois with mild-presenting symptoms and concerns. â€‹

 

Available for sessions in Morris office and via telehealth.
